Date: Wed, 19 Jul 1995 14:11:52 GMT Organization: National Center for Supercomputing Applications Lines: 23 Message-ID: <3uj3re$81b@vixen.cso.uiuc.edu> NNTP-Posting-Host: berlin-4.slip.uiuc.edu Summary: Would like info on compiling ncsa httpd 1.4.2 under bsd/386 v1.1 Keywords: ncsa httpd, bsd/386 X-Newsreader: Forte Free Agent 1.0.82 I am currently Webmaster on a system running BSD/386 v1.1. I would like to upgrade from NCSA httpd 1.3 (which was available on the BSDI ftp server) to version 1.4.2. Unfortunately, I am not enough or a unix hacker to figure out just what needs to be changed in the makefiles before I try to compile the source. There are no specific lines to uncomment (assuming that NetBSD is not the same as BSD/386) in the source distribution that would make it easy for me to do. If anyone has successfully compiled the 1.4.2 server under bsd/386 1.1, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide me with polnters on how to modify the source in order to get a good binary. Thanks in advance. --chris -- ////\\\\////\\\\////\\\\ Christopher G.
