During the install procedure I always got a: Fatal trap 12: page fault while in kernel mode Fault virtual address: 0xefe2da1c fault code = supervisor read, page not present instruction pointer = 0x8:0xf0174ff2 code segment = base 0x0, limit 0xffffh, type 0x1b = DPL 0, pres 1, def 32 1, gran 1 processor eflags = interrupt enabled, resume, IOPL = 0 current process = 49 (cpio) interrupt mask = It seems to be always the cpio that hangs up. I looked using the "-c"- Option what was identified. I reconfigured my ATI Graphics Card to more primitive modes and finally tries to install from a DOS partition. Always the same result (perhaps the PID changes). Any good ideas ? -- Joachim Kindler Dep. of Physical Chemistry, University of Hamburg Bundesstr. 45, D-20146 Hamburg, Germany Tel.: +49 40 4123 5919 Fax: +49 40 4123 3452 Home: +49 40 85 12 527 Datex J(BTX): 0408512527-0002 E-Mail: kindler@chemie.uni-hamburg.de
