Ok, I went out and got me a tape backup (a little one * QIC-80 * of course)
and recompiled the kernel for tape support. Problem is when I do a
kernel -c boot I don't see ft0 or rft0 or anything remotely like it.
Figuring I am not suppose to see it then, I go directly into the system
and try the program 'ft'. No go... tells me device not configured. This
goes for rft0 and ft0. So, what do I do to configure a device? Sorry if
this is a basic question, but I can't seem to locate anything related in
the FAQ.

Thanks in advance,
Dennis Anfield
