The problem I have is in getting the aha0 device to talk to my adaptec 1542 controller. The controller is at io=130, irq=11, dma=0, mem=CC000. At the boot: prompt I did a -c and used the config utility to set these paramaters. When the boot process gets to the aha0 device it identifies the card, has all the parameters listed correctly, and presents the message "waiting for scsi devices to settle". After about 30 seconds or so I get an abend message. The first time this happened the cmos was corrupted and I had to re-enter all of the fixed disk and floppy disk info. I then went into the config utility and disabled all of the devices I didn't need, set the io and dma on aha0 (since the irq and mem are dynamicaly set according to the hardware doc). This produced the same results as before, without corrupting the cmos. Anyone have any insight into what the problem could be?
