I am considering reformatting a 540 mg hard drive on a Pentium machine
(with 16 megs ram) and having an MSDOS/Windows partition and a Un*x
partition--either Linux or FreeBSD.

--Which is easier to install, Linus or FreeBSD? I haven't
worked much with Un*x--just know enough commands to get me around an
FTP site.

--Are there different ways to set up the MSDOS and Un*x
partitions? Which one do I start with?

--Does FreeBSD come with the drivers necessary for an Ethernet
(3C509) card?

I will greatly appreciate any responses that throw light on
these questions--I've been using MSDOS/Windows for years and am quite
good at it, but Un*x will be new for me.
