Date: 29 Jul 1995 17:47:05 GMT Organization: StarNet Communications, Inc Lines: 13 Message-ID: <3vds6p$gnq@blackice.winternet.com> NNTP-Posting-Host: subzero.winternet.com X-Newsreader: TIN [UNIX 1.3 950621BETA PL0] I've done what the man page for iijppp says to do to get ppp on demand, and when I type 'ppp -auto winternet' ppp indeed starts up as a daemon, but whenever I try to telnet, finger, or ping I get the message, "No route to host" if the host is in my /etc/hosts, or "host not found" if it's no in my /etc/hosts. I must be lacking something obvious, but I can't find it in the man page or in /usr/share/FAQ/Text. -- John D.
