Hi,
I have two questions,
Please, If you know the answer, give me some information....

1) I want to setup QMS-860 printer via parallel port.
When I tried to setup this printer using parallel port,
lpq command showed message that saying 'No daemon present'
I had saw this message on SunOS printer when system has no filter.
Even redirecting ascii files to /dev/{lp, lpt0, ..} does not work.
If this problem was originated from filter program, then from where
can i get filters and printcap entry?

2) My sendmail program can't recognize abbreviated domain name.
I installed named, and other application programs can recognize
abbreviated domain name very well. But sendmail can't.
sendmail only recognizes FQDN(fully qualified domain name).
	script follows,

	% echo test | sendmail -v kwak@madonna
kwak@madonna... Host unknown (Name server: madonna: host not found)
	Saving message in /home1/NLP/kwak/dead.letter
	/home1/NLP/kwak/dead.letter... Sent
	% echo test | sendmail -v kwak@madonna.postech.ac.kr
	kwak@madonna.postech.ac.kr... Connecting to madonna.postech.ac.kr. (smtp)...
	........ blah, blah....
	221 madonna.postech.ac.kr delivering mail
	% ping madonna
	ping madonna
	PING madonna.postech.ac.kr (141.223.95.1): 56 data bytes
	64 bytes from 141.223.95.1: icmp_seq=0 ttl=255 time=0.950 ms
	........ blah, blah....
	--- madonna.postech.ac.kr ping statistics ---
4 packets transmitted, 4 packets received, 0% packet loss
	round-trip min/avg/max = 0.871/0.901/0.950 ms

I didn't change any sendmail.cf entry from distributed bsd.
Is it sendmail configuration problem? How can I solve this problem?

Any comment will be appreciated...
Thanks in advance...
