You should make sure with Telecom Eirann that they don't install the modem themselves... That's often the case in Europe (or at least in France, anyway). And if you look for one, I guess our US counterparts call that CSU/DSUs, but they usually have 56K and not 64K, so I'm not sure they would be compatible. Anyway, you'll probably need a router, as these modems are SYNC, and I'm not quite sure there's appropriate support in FreeBSD for that (I guess you'd need a special sync serial card for that, too).
