Maybe we can help -- it is easier to do this on the mailing lists though. When your process hangs, what does the ps command tell you. What is the state of each process in the system? If that hangs, then drop into the debugger and do a ps there. The best way to continue this is private email or or the mailing list 'freebsd-bugs' (I am not sure about policy, but that appears to be a good place to start.)
