Can BSDI be incompatible with this >particular drive geometry? It definitely IS compatible. We are using this exact drive under BSDI 2.0 with excellent results. IMO the problem is almost certainly not the drive or indeed BSDI - it is probably your SCSI controller. We are using the Buslogic 946 PCI SCSI controller with Quantum Grand Prix, Toshiba 3601 CD-ROM drive and Conner Python 8GB DAT drives - works great!
