Hi all,
On my 2.0.5-RELEASE system I've installed the qpop package and am having
trouble. When I try to connect from Eudora (Win version 1.4.4) I always
am told that my password is wrong. I know that there is nothing wrong
on the Eudora side because I have no problem connecting to an AIX box
running a much older version of popper.
I KNOW some of you folks out there must be using popper. What'd you do to get
it to work? Someone suggested that there may be some relation between the
presence or lack there-of of DES on my system having an affect on poppers
functioning. Should it?
Here's the debug output from a failed session:
Aug 4 10:57:58 itsdsv1 -d[1776]: (v2.1.4-R3) Servicing request from
"itsdpc2.enc.edu" at 199.93.252.238
Aug 4 10:57:58 itsdsv1 -d[1776]: -ERR Password supplied for "owensc" is
incorrect.
Aug 4 10:57:58 itsdsv1 -d[1776]: (v2.1.4-R3) Ending request from
"owensc" at (itsdpc2.enc.edu) 199.93.252.238
Any idea what's wrong?
Thanks,
---
