hello again
we have problems using the amd automounter with the "-type:=direct" option -
if we try to mount something with this option we get no errors in the logs (we
only thing we don't know what it is - is the message "defeating nfs window
computation" but i don't think that this has something todo with the problem
(... what exactly does this mean ?) - ok - we get the amd mounted - see
the amd:pid with df but if we make a "cd" to the mounted dir (some file after
that - for instance we mount /share via nfs and -type:=direct and go to
/share/test we get "Stale NFS file handle") - any ideas ?
we compiled the amd with the -DDEBUG option and run it with -D all - but the
only a bit curious this was the "defeating ..." message from above - the same
configuration works fine (with the same amd-maps) on dec-alpha's under
OSF1/3.0 and the amd runs fine for automatic mounting of the homedirs under
FreeBSD (without the "-type:=direct" option) - but all the other mounts with
"-type:=direct" aren't working - has anybody got this working ?
t & d
