: We don't have "patches" to FreeBSD so much as we have an ongoing
: code base which is improved (freebsd-current). See http://www.freebsd.org
: for more information on this and other things.

: Open bug reports are posted once a week to bugs@freebsd.org - a mailing
: list that anyone can subscribe to. Again, see the web site for information
: on subscribing to the mailing lists.

but i think it would be useful to have a maybe "patches" dir at
ftp.freebsd.org in the RELEASE directories - because if you use FreeBSD as a
production machine you can't always install -current all three weeks to solve
the problems - i think as far as it is possible real bugfixes should also be
available for the latest release as a patch - ok you may also look at -current
and at the commit mailing lists to find out what was changed to fix the
problem (that's the way i do it at the moment) but this takes a lot of time
and work - the best would be if any significant bugfix will be send to
-current and to the "patches-maintainer" (maybe i'll try to do it later - at
the moment - until october - my time is too short) - who simply adapts them to
the last RELEASE tree
