The problem is >after a day or two, su will stall after I type my password and not >spawn a root shell like normal. > I had this issue under XAccel.. it's a syslog issue.. syslog is trying to write to console the su entry and is being blocked by the X server (a bug me thinks..).. it works for a while because syslog has some buffers to prevent blocking.. but when they're full it just has to hang..
