The light and the speed indicator are just LEDs directly controlled by the
switch (the speed indicator certainly does not measyre anything for real:
your can even take it out of your PC, it'll still have the same two
speeds).

So the real speed change (where there is one! I've already seen PCs with
such a switch and display that were not even connected!) depends on how
this is connected on your motherboard... Might happen that it is connected
the wrong way...
