Nonsense.

In a nutshell: The FreeBSD installation needs its separate partition
like the Linux installation needs its separate partition like the DOS
installation needs its separate partition.

After you have built up that, you should be able to boot all of them
from their floppies.

You then can tell Lilo the FreeBSD partition in the same style as the
DOS partition (not in the style of the Linux partition!) and reinstall
Lilo.
(At least, that's what i did&what worked.)
