I'm currently trying to get Hylafax running but there seems to be a problem with the interaction between faxgetty and chat/slattach. I can use the identical port configuration with fax or slip (calling out from the 2.0.5R machine) with no problem. I can't dial out with slip while faxgetty is running, and you can't simply off the entry in /etc/ttys and kill -1 1 to remove the faxgetty process. The machine must be rebooted. I realise this has something to do with clocal being manipulated by the faxgetty running on the port slip is attempting to use. It is not possible to run faxgetty on ttydX and dial out on the matching cuaaX device at the same time - the cuaaX device remains "in use" while faxgetty is on the ttydX device. Has anyone managed to get these working? I am stuck with this and would appreciate any help. This is why I abandoned flexfax with 1.1.5.1R some time ago. I was hoping the new version would be better in this regard. ------------------------------------------------------------------- : -- : Stefan Raab Stefan@cuesys.com : sbraab@mail.wm.edu -- _-_|\ Terry Dwyer E-Mail: tdwyer@netbsd08.dn.itg.telecom.com.au / \ System Administrator Phone: +61 9 491 5161 Fax: +61 9 221 2631 *_.^\_/ Telecom Australia Telstra Corporation MIME capable mailer v Perth WA ( I do not speak for Telstra or Telecom )
