it's warning you so that you start to become paranoid about doing
backups..
This message is generated BY THE DISKDRIVE not the OS..
it's NOT A HAPPY CAMPER and you should get it replaced ASAP
or YOU will be as unhappy as it is when you lose your data..
if you have a a warrantee then you should use it.
depending on the varaion of the OS, you did not lose data
but you may soon..
