I have been running Linux for a while on my home system, but have decided to try out BSD. I am currently stuck at trying to partition my HD for BSD, it seems to me absurdly dificult. I am at the disklable section and cannot get any further that that. Why does it need to be so difficult? The whole deal with slices and partitions seems so retarded. I can see obvious longings for the SUN type format command, but we are not on a SUN machine. By comparison installing Linux is child's play. It does not need to be this difficult (BTW, I still cannot figure it out, so if you have any suggestions) Slice: 1. OS/2 / Win95 partition 2. partition 3. desired BSD partition 4. boot manager partition (perishable) 5. swap partition (but BSD cannot see this partition!) Thanks all. -bik
