I'd like to give you my system configuration so that you can tell me if you think it will really work: Olivetti M700-10 as follows... - MIPS R4000PC 100Mhz Processor - fast SCSI-2 on board (and externally accessible) - floppy diskette controller on board (up to 2.88MB supported) - ethernet (10Mbps) on board - 2 serial ports with 16550AF UARTs on board - 1 parallel port on board - digital sound on board - Logitech PS/2-style mouse - Jazz364 2MB VRAM EISA video controller (1280 x 1024 at 75hz) - 5 available EISA/ISA slots - 8 72-pin SIMM sockets (takes 2MB, 4MB, 8MB, or 16MB SIMMs) - Bi-Endian support - CPU heat-sink and cooling fan The only other UNIX which I know will run on these things is UniSoft's UniPlus+ port of SVR4 with a BSD-compatibility package. However, it is incomplete, undocumented, unsupported, and extremely expensive. Let me know what you think. I would also appreciate it if you could help me get it up and running. Appropriate compensation would also be in order. Kevin Sawyer -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Applied Personal Computing, Inc.
