In early 0.0 times, i've had a look at those kernel sources which deal with CMOS time, and i remember a comment of Bill saying ``probably we should keep CMOS time at UTC'' or so. Of course, he is right. Well Americans, think far beyond your own boundaries. Modern BSD's have a well designed time zone system on high level. This respects the fact that European countries generally switch to DST on other days than U.S., so the simple algorithm in the low level kernel sources won't solve the problem even if it works fine. So i don't know whether it's better to keep out all of TZ handling off the kernel, and shouldn't we solve the problem of DOS not being able to handle the UTC CMOS time???
