I thought Matt |> Thomas has been developing it after FreeBSD 2 has been born. Matt Thomas wrote it for FreeBSD-1.1.5.1 based on the PCI code in the NCR PCI SCSI driver patch kit. I don't have any 1.1.5.1 system here, but if you want to try it, just get and install FTP.Uni-Koeln.DE:packages/FreeBSD/PCI-SCSI/scsi-ncr-941026.tar.gz and copy the DE driver relevant files to /sys/i386/pci (if_de.c and dc21040.h).
