My advice is to get a Best Fortress 660 instead. They cost a little bit more
but you can get the programming info from Best without a non-disclosure
agreement. Programming a serial port to talk to it is pretty easy, a single
character command makes the UPS return an 80 character status string with
everything you want to know.
