Per Fogelstrom <pefo@enea.se> has NetBSD running on an R4000-based machine, although he hasn't donated the sources back to us yet. So far that's the only port I know of. If you can provide me with a machine, hardware documentation, and funding, I'll be happy to do the port for you (I'm the portmaster for the DECstation port). Per might also be interested in such an arrangement. Jonathan Stone <jonathan@dsg.stanford.edu> has been doing more work than I on the DECstation port recently. I don't know if he'd be willing to help you, but you could certainly ask. Unfortunately, even Free Software isn't cheap. You'll find this to be the case whether you hire somebody to do the port, do it yourself, or just try to adapt what somebody else has done to your needs. The rewards are great, IMHO, which is a good thing, because otherwise it wouldn't be worth it. _MelloN_ -- Ted Lemon mellon@fugue.com +1 415 567 7999
