Has anyone been able to find/compile an IRC server for BSD2/0?

I want to be able to run a server so local users can connect to it and
have a place to chat. They can of course create their own channels,
but trying to find a local channel out of the hundreds that get listed is
a mess! I'd like to let them select our local server and the local
channels on it. Is this easily possible, or is there a better way?

Thanks!
