I'm trying to install FreeBSD 2.0.5 via FTP from a DEC Venturis 590.
The network card is an Intel EtherExpress PCI 10baseT card. The card is not
being detected on boot. I've tried booting with
/kernel -c
and manually enabling and probing the card, but the probe always returns
with a result of 0x0. I've looked through the BIOS to see if I could
specify an IRQ for the PCI slot (and then more specificly specify the
device in the kernel config), but the BIOS doesn't seem to have that feature.
I saw in another post that there may be a patch required to use FreeBSD
on PCI systems?
Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
