Is there any truth to this? No and Yes. The 10/100 uses the DC21140 chip which is supported by 2.0.5. SMC ahs switched to using the DC21041 chip for its 10Mb/s only boards and that isn't support by the de driver in 2.0.5. I have supplied updates since which does include full support for that chip. -- Matt Thomas Internet: thomas@lkg.dec.com U*X Networking WWW URL: http://ftp.dec.com/%7Ethomas/ Digital Equipment Corporation Disclaimer: This message reflects my Littleton, MA own warped views, etc.
