i am trying to configure my modem for dialin/out, but when i set the
permissions on /dev/tty01 to 666 (so users may use the device with
kermit) something resets them back to 600 at some point later on. it
also changes the owner to uucp and the group to tty. i assume this has
something to do with the fact that i have a getty on this line.
