Hi !

I've brought up a nice FreeBSD 2.0.5 machine.

80486/33, Elite EISA board, AHA 1542B, Winner 1000 EISA, ...

The following problems under X11.

a) If I choose olwm as windowmanager, I can start cmdtool
successfully. But if I type a single character into cmdtool
   it terminates.
Same error, if I execute cmdtool under another window manager
   as fvwm.

b) If I startup xman, then I get the pulldown menues as usual,
   but I can't make a selection... i.e. If I release the
mouse button at 'search' nothing else happens.

c) If I run an xterm session (no matter which window manager,
owwm, piewm, fvwm, twm), then I don't get a font selection
   box (pressing CTRL+right_mouse).

I installed everything from the CD-ROM using the option
'yes to all' and install _everything_.

I'm using the S3 accelerated Server.

XTerm runs fine with a huge font, if I start a session like

xterm -cr red -fn 10x20 -sb -sl 1000 -bg black -fg white

Is this a known bug ?

I recompiled the xc source tree under /usr/X11R6/src/xc using
make World && make install. After that I had to make the
proper symlink 'ln -s XF86_S3 X', because the SVGA Server was
for me the wrong default, but I get the same results ...

Should I upgrade to XFree86 3.1.2 ??? Are binaries for
FreeBSD 2.0.5 already available or is it part of the new
snap ???

Or could someone give me the ftp address for the XFree86 3.1.2
diffs, then I could compile the new version myself ...

Thanks in advance

	Andreas ///
