Hi Bill, it's you again... I mean Bill again.
Anyway, I tried what you suggested. The first time I only disabled wdc1, no success.
The second time, I disabled wdc1, bt0, npx0 (I have no co-processor), ahb0, ahc0 and
another that I can't remember now. This time it worked! I was pretty jazzed when I saw
the color install screen. So like an idiot, I chose "Do nothing and reboot", because I
wanted to know which one did the trick. So I tried all of the options disabling one at
a time and nothing worked. Then I disabled all of the ones when I had it working, and
now they dont work. So now I'm back to where I started with no idea why it worked
once.
One question that maybe you or someone else could help me with is, What are all the
devices? Some are obvious, like fd0, wdc0, wd0, sio0, lpt0, etc. But I was just
pulling straws with some of the other devices like ahb0 ,bt0 and so on without any
idea what I was doing.
Also any guesses on my intermittent booting would be helpful.
Thanks alot Bill,
-Bill
