I'm using a rather old Jumbo drive (don't remember the model, it is marked 250Mb, but
really gives 120Mb without compression). It does work but to be honest I don't trust it.
A couple of (3M) tapes have formatted ok, been written to once, then fail on read. Then they
will not even reformat.

As for the ft filter, it works, but when I have time I'd like to take a look at the source because
if I use dump and the ft filter, hit ^C, dump exits ok but ft just hangs around forever, nothing
can kill it. Also I get timeout error messages for the floppy drive, which may, or may not be
a problem.

Can anyone recommend a good (but cheap) SCSI tape drive?
