I do agree with your findings above, however I was referring to the URL: http://www.msn.net Which when interrogated revealed - "HTTP-Srv-Beta1/1.0" However - I believe that M$ might be getting somewhat sensitive to this, I just tried again before posting this and Telnet access seems to have been switched off now to www.msn.net! Interestingly, M$ also appears to me to be using round robin DNS to divide the load between multiple BSDI 2.0 servers. With regards to html - I looked at the source on some of the documents on "www.msn.net" and there was a lot of stuff in there which was definitely not HTML 2.0/3.0 or Netscape extensions! It appeared to be proprietory, and whatever it was the server recognised it and responded to it. Time will tell!
