I have a 3com card at 0x300, interrupt 10. Under DOS it seems to be
recognized ok and the hub port lights up.

When I boot under FreeBSD there is a message among the start up
messages that says something like:

ep0 at 0x300 int 10........(and some other stuff)

but the hub port light doesn't light up and I can't telnet
out or ping or anything.

What else do I have to do to get the ethercard working under FreeBSD?

Also, I ran Configure from the startup floppy and set all the IP
addresses (my own, name server, gateway, etc.), but it doesn't seem
to have changed any of the host files.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
