OK. I stumbled across the /etc/sysconfig file. (Is there documentation
on stuff like this anywhere? The online FreeBSD manual doesn't have
any networking chapters in it yet.)

Anyway, I modified the "network_interfaces" line to include
my 3com card by making that line read:

network_interfaces="lo0 ep0"

and added the line

ifconfig_ep0="inet 202.243.53.10 netmask 0xffffff00"

I got the "ep0" from the "devmenu" program. It listed the 3com
device. The IP address is part of our Class C network.

Anyway, it works and I can telnet out now.

Questions:

(1) Is this all explained somewhere? I feel luck to have just stumbled
upon it.

(2) What is the "lo0" device that was already there? It is not listed
in devmenu.

(3) How do I set my domain name server's IP address?

(4) What is the "defaultdomainname" parameter that comes after
the "hostname" parameter in the /etc/sysconfig file?

Thanks,
