I just bought a Media Vision Pro -something (don't remember the the name).
It is a video capture board that does 16.7 M colors (and also 256 black &
white too). Media Vision has decided to discontinue the product, but
the hardware works and I think is $99. I bought mine at a computer show
for $50. You can't beat that for a motion video capture card! The software
allows you to capture at 1 per minute slowest, but the manual has some
technical data in the appendix- so you could probably do a VBasic
routine to call the screen capture/save. I have a nightvision camera
that I had placed out my window to see what goes on at night. I also
did a time-lapse thing mounting the camera over my bed to see how often
I toss and turn at night. It's a fun toy.
