My BSDI2.0 system sometimes takes a long time to echo back characters
when I'm logged in. It can happen at any time, when I'm editing,
reading news, or doing zmodem file transfers.

Sometimes the delays last 20 seconds or more. It happens when I'm
telneted in from a remote site, or connected through a terminal server, or even if I'm directly connected to a local serial port.

Any clues on what I should be looking for?
