Hey, I did not write the demo and it was written in 93 if that matters.
As for 2reality being good, consider this the demo was demonstrating real-time
3d graphics with texture mapping and pumping out dolby surround sound
streams thru my gravis ultrasound. All this long before DOOM.

At any rate, you miss the point. If Win95 had been smarter and detected that
it failed to start previously it should have given me a pointer to boot to
dos or display "hit F8" to boot to dos.

I got to admit that in FreeBSD mounting a dos disk and then editing a
DOS file is very, very, difficult 8)

Or, you mean that I like the most bang for my dollars ...
Look , a few years ago , I was looking into buying a PC and runing an OS.
I didn't care if it was Windows or Unix. My solution was to run 386bsd which
now evolved to FreeBSD. The extra dollars that I saved on buying what I would
consider part of the standard OS distribution, I invested on my hardware.

Look, I don't consider an OS distribution which has been tested with
400, 000 users your typical first release of an OS. Not to mention the
millions of dollars that went into its development.

As for FreeBSD not working for you, I don't know what was your problem
over there. This system is churning away in FreeBSD. Try installing FreeBSD
again and if it fails just mail to freebsd-hackers@freebsd.org and we will do
our best to *support* you.

Check out http://freebsd.cdrom.com is a P90 with 58 gig of disk
running FreeBSD. freebsd.cdrom.com serves up to 300 ftp connections and
is one of the biggest ftp servers in the Net. Not bad for an OS distribution
which sells for $39 or you can download it for *free*.

>I think the UNIX consultant needs a Windows consultant :-).

Not really , I am just playing with Win95 to check out what all the hype
is all about.
