I got no reply for the first time, so I think, I will try for the second time. I tried to control my FreeBSD box, to allow access from internal network to external only. I have 2 network cards in it. I compiled kernel, to include GATEWAY, IPFIREWALL, IPFIREWALL_VERBOSE. Then I tried to telnet from internal host, to external host. It failed, with timeout. I would like to know, do I need telnetd to listen on port 23, to enable ipforwarding or not. Any suggestions , please Thanks ferryw
