Performance wise, that is. I'm running a Connor 4.3GB SCSI drive on a 2940 with FreeBSD, NT, Win95, DOS & OS/2 . When I installed these operating systems I had both the 2940 & an NCR 810 installed. I tried to install Slackware Linux & it didn't like the 2940. I put the HDD & CD onto the 810 and it installed. All my old operating systems still booted and ran with no probs. It would seem from this that on my system both controllers work in the same fashion. >Regards, >Russell >http://www.geli.com Distributed Computing Solutions/Pentium Workstation Clusters regards. Don.
