My plans are to go from that, to a C++ next semester (the college I am attending requires C before you go to C++, oh well, no harm done since they are similar). My question is this: Which compiler programs are best. We are using Turbo C++ at school. Eventually, I want to work with windows (Visual C++) as well as C and C++. Are there any compiler packages that will handle all three (I know that Turbo C++ will do both C and C++, but the package we have at school will not process Visual.) I would rather only purchase one compiler if possible (The least expensive would help also, but I don't want to loose efficiency to the lower priced packages.) Thanks in advance for any advice...
