If nobody installs : off of floppy, then this install method doesn't get well tested. I did several : floppy installs which worked fine, but I can't say that this was necessarily : bullet-proof. Not too many people use that install method, and when you have : FTP, CDROM, NFS, tape, floppy and DOS mode installation as available options, : that's a lot of testing ground to cover! How exactly did it fail ? I recently had to install off floppy (slow inet link) and it worked perfectly (well, once I had got rid of the three floppies with bad sectors *sigh* -why do those always happen at midnight ? ;) I would be interested to know what the problem was...
