Keywords: freebsd linux compatibility X-NNTP-Posting-Host: panorama.demon.co.uk I have a database program which was built with Linux (kernel 1.2.1) and I want to run it on PC hardware (arriving soon). Having read about FreeBSD and Linux I would prefer to run it on FreeBSD which I thought could run Linux and SCO binaries. However I have just got the FreeBSD CD and the documentation on 'linux-emu' says it is not a generic emulator, so will the database run on FreeBSD 2.0.5 ? Due to 'news' problems I would prefer replies by email to ian@panorama.com. Thanks for any info, Ian.
