I have a 2 gig SCSI drive with a 400 >>>>meg partition (the first partiion) as DOS, a 1400 meg BSD partition >>>>(FreeBSD 2.0.5) and the 3rd partition is FreeBSD swap. Oh, maybe I missed this but WTH. Which drive is it? It does matter. And WRT to the 2940/53c810 interoperability issue, I've just gone through a half dozen make worlds each on a problematic drive, the 4.3 Quantum Grand Prix, and if the NCR survives the boot it handles the drive nearly identically to the 2940. Performance wise, that is. Regards, Russell http://www.geli.com Distributed Computing Solutions/Pentium Workstation Clusters
