I just installed a Quantum 7200 RPM SCSI-II drive connected
to a 2940. I also have a NCR controller. The disk has a 400
meg DOS partition first, then a 1390 meg BSD partition, and
the third partition is all BSD swap space.

I can't interchange the 2940 with the NCR card and run the machine
on a reliable basis with FreeBSD.

It will run for a while with the NCD card then tend to lock up the
SCSI bus. It appears to run just fine with the 2940.

Shouldn't I be able to just swap cards and run using the default
kernel with either the NCR or the 2940?
