Well, you can read the yp(8) manual page, along with the manual pages for ypbind(8), ypcat(1), ypmatch(1), yppoll(8), ypset(8), and ypwhich(1). Some of these manual pages have been updated in NetBSD-current since the addition of support for the more sophisticated YP prototypes for inclusion/exclusion of netgroups in /etc/passwd. If you're running -current, see also the group(5) and passwd(5) manual pages. -- Jason R.
