NCR has not disadvantage than any other SCSI-2 controllers. All Pentinum-100 BIOS should be support it. I have 10 different Pentinum motherboards and every one works with NCR SCSI controllers. BTW, I believe that NCR provide free BIOS upgrading kits for NCR chipset. NCR does, but Intel won't tell anyone how to upgrade the NCR BIOS on their motherboards (e. g. Plato).
