This may be faq material, but i just thought i would consult some seasoned veterans for a suggestion too... Basially, i tried using the boot floppy from 2.0.5 to get FreeBSD going on a Winbook XP notebook. The boot process seems to be successful until the unit detects the hard drive. At that point the unit will hang quite nicely. The curious thing, however, is that after doing a cold boot, it seems as if the bios has been whacked a good one. It doesn't count the memory properly, and can't detect the hard drive... A subsequent cold boot will have everything up and running just fine... The bios is v1.03 firmware from Phoenix, and is flash upgradeable... Any ideas??? Thanks a ton Bob
