Recently I posted a question in this newsgroup. I asked whether NetBSD
had kernel support to do ip tunneling and masquerading. I have not
gotten a single response to this post, nor have I seen any follow ups.
I HAVE, on the other hand, seen probably a dozen if not more posts
regarding "BSD vs. Linux". I have two things to say about this
so-called "BSD vs. Linux Debate" (a) in Linux newsgroup someone would
have answered my question (I have had MANY such questions answered the
same day I post) (b) Linux DOES support ip tunneling and masquerading
(and as far as I can tell NetBSD doesn't. I've looked at the
www.netbsd.org site and waited patiently for a response to my post).
Both Linux and NetBSD are user supported operating systems. Maybe I'm
being hasty, but from seeing how diminuative this newsgroup is, and
seeing how my reasonable question went unanswered, I don't think there
is much to debate.
