I missed his full message. Michael L. VanLoon (michaelv@MindBender.HeadCandy.com) wrote: : NetBSD/Alpha, NetBSD/Sparc, NetBSD/Sun68k, etc. are not half-assed : prototype ports. These are fully-functional NetBSD ports, every bit : as usable as the Intel port. For years, commercial Unix vendors pounded on each other about how much better their latest tweak (that made them incompatible with the rest of the *nix world) and pounded on each other with binary incompatibility etc. while MS chuckled and made them largely irrelevant. We live in a world that now has at least 2 good free Unix clones (better than any version I ever bought) and all some people can do is sling the same old shit (i.e. bashing the other versions). If you want to hurt the acceptance of both versions, keep it up. Phil
