Maybe you have a flaky motherboard? I know that when i press any of the keys that cause an LED to be lit (scroll-lock, num-lock, caps-lock) under pccons i get a reboot, and under pcvt i get "Timeout for LED command" or some such -- if you press the keys quickly enough, the machine will reboot, even under pcvt -- i got around it (sorta) by just simply return()ing isntead of even trying to send the LED command, and it doesnt die on me any more, and since my led's werent working anyhow, doesnt make a whole lot of difference. ;-) Perhaps i just have a bad keyboard or something. FIS, my computer is a non-descript, AMI-Bios based motherboard with an AMD DX2. (hi mike!) Jeremy -- nelson@cs.uwp.edu Four Lines Suffice.
